WHAT WE DO​

— FOSTER CARE TO ADOPTION

Safe Life Journey is interested in teaching foster parents and biological families effective parenting techniques and healthy family relationships that will reduce the need of informed trauma. Foster parents will be trained as a group, as well as individually on positive behavior modification techniques , and other therapeutic interventions that will result in positive behavior. Foster parents will nuture behavior, provide stimulation, and promptly meet the needs of the child. 

— PREPARATION OF FOSTER FAMILIES

Safe Life Journey seeks successful, patient adaptable foster parents with the ability to guide children into a healthy lifestyle. Foster Parents will need to be experienced or have completed the Agency required Orientation, Informed Care Training, CPR/First Aid, Medication Training as well as any additional training courses required.

— CASE MANAGEMENT​

Case Management is a appropriately licensed and qualified professional who directly ensures the best interest of the childs medical, dental,therapeutic and behavioral needs are met daily and monthly. The Case Manager is avaialble 24 hours 7 days a week along with agency staff. 


— RESPITE, EXTENDED & KINSHIP​

Respite Care – a temporary plan that we offer for planned alternative 24 child care which serves as a relief to caregivers and foster parents.
Extended care – provides young adults the opportunity to remain in extended care until 21 or until they are able to manage their own employment , hosung additional education to ensure that health behaviors and tools are given so that they can be successful in society.
Kinship Care – can sometimes be court ordered usually after the Dept has completed an home assessment to ensure the family member or members home is a safe and appropriate resident for the child. It occurs when a relative opens their home to care for children such as an Aunt, Uncle , Grandparent , cousin, Adult sibling. The three primary foundations of Kinship : Moiety, Totems and Skin name Their role and responsibilities and obligations regarding one another along with the environment were the child will be placed
